Trim Video
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This policy describes data handling in Trim Video (package dev.tyrell.trimvideo) by InetTools when you select, trim, cut, combine, crop, transcode, save, or share a video or audio file.
Data We Process
- The video or audio file that you choose from local storage and the generated result.
- Media metadata needed for editing, such as duration, size, type, file name, codecs, resolution, and stream information.
- Editing and export settings such as time ranges, format, 240p–1080p resolution, crop ratio, rotation, speed, volume, quality, metadata, and subtitles.
- Local theme, language, filename-template, and automatic-cleanup preferences.
- A small recent-results history stored on the device so you can reopen generated files.
Local Media Processing
Video and audio editing is performed on your device. The app copies the selected file into its private directory, processes it locally with the built-in media engine, and saves the result locally. Selected and generated media files are not uploaded to InetTools, AppMetrica, or Sentry servers.
Storage, Saving, and Sharing
Generated videos, temporary files, settings, language preference, and recent-results history are stored locally on the device. You can save a result to the Downloads folder or share it with other apps only after you choose those actions. Sharing uses the operating system share sheet.
AppMetrica and Sentry
The app uses separate AppMetrica and Sentry projects associated with package dev.tyrell.trimvideo. AppMetrica receives technical analytics events such as app launch, session, app version, device and operating system details, and a non-identifying media-processing error category. Location tracking, advertising identifiers, automatic revenue tracking, and AppMetrica crash reporting are disabled.
Sentry is used for error reports, crash reports, and technical diagnostics. A report may include app version, environment, device and operating system details, a stack trace, and technical context. Default PII sending is disabled, and console and FFmpeg logs are not attached. We do not set a name, email address, or advertising identifier and do not intentionally attach your media files.
Accounts, Advertising, and Permissions
Trim Video does not require an account and does not use advertising SDKs, the advertising ID, contacts, camera, microphone, payment data, or location. The INTERNET permission is used by AppMetrica and Sentry and to safely open store and policy links, while ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE lets network SDKs account for connection availability. Google Play Install Referrer is used by AppMetrica for technical installation attribution; advertising-identifier collection remains disabled. On Android 9 and earlier, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is requested only when you save a result to Downloads. Network access is not used to upload selected media files.
Deletion
You can delete generated result files and clear local app data through the app or operating system storage settings. Since video files are processed locally, InetTools does not have a server-side copy of your selected or generated videos.
Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. For privacy questions, contact us at support@inettools.net.
